Maskam Fusion
As part of our extensive portfolio of solutions, ASE offers the Fusion domestic wastewater treatment systems, manufactured by Maskam Water in South Africa (visit manufacturer’s website here), as an easily deployable, cost-effective and low-maintenance solution for small establishments.
Fusion Wastewater Treatment Plants are drop-in domestic wastewater treatment units suitable for low-volume residential and commercial applications. The systems are available in a variety of treatment capacities from 1,500 to 15,000 litres per day. The Fusion’s unique design enables it to be installed without a pre-treatment tank, making it ideal for use on sites where space is limited.
How the Fusion® system works
- Step 1: Anaerobic digestion
- Step 2: Anoxic treatment with non-clog filter media
- Step 3: Aeration with Moving Bed Biofilm Reactor – COD reduction and nitrifying ammonia
- Step 4: Denitrification, organic phosphate reduction, reseeding.
- Step 5: Returning activated sludge for internal re-digestion and as feed source in times of low inflow.
- Step 6: Final clarification of the treated effluent before discharge
- Step 7: Disinfection (external, post treatment)
